A growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking an Applications Engineer / Inside Sales Engineer / Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team in Charlotte, NC. This role supports technical sales, customer applications, order processing, and hands-on operational support across pumps, rotating equipment, and industrial mechanical systems. This is an office-based, technical role ideal for someone who enjoys combining mechanical understanding with commercial coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities – Applications Engineer / Inside Sales Support / Technical Support / Operations Support

  • Provide front-line technical and application support for customer enquiries across pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Assist in preparing accurate quotations and supporting internal and external sales teams.
  • Support order processing, incoming/outgoing shipments, and inventory organisation.
  • Assist with light mechanical assembly of equipment when required.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding project status, product information, and technical updates.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of rotating equipment questions.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements – Applications Engineer / Inside Sales Engineer / Technical Support Engineer

  • Experience or exposure to pumps, rotating equipment, motors, manufacturing, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Candidates with general mechanical or industrial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and solve problems effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varied daily tasks.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Competent with standard PC software (Outlook, Excel, CRM/ERP tools, etc.).
  • Must be able to work on-site in Charlotte, NC.
