Applications Engineer / Technical Support Engineer Water Treatment

Applications Engineer / Technical Support Engineer is required to join a well-established, global manufacturer of engineered water treatment and chemical control equipment.

 

Applications Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will ideally have experience working with chemical metering pumps, analytical controllers, sensors, and integrated chemical dosing systems used in water treatment and purification environments. Experience supporting established water treatment control platforms is highly desirable, including systems such as PLDS, Walchem, and comparable solutions from manufacturers such as ProMinent, Grundfos (dosing systems), and Pulsafeeder.

 

This is a technical, customer-facing support role, responsible for applications support, troubleshooting, and product expertise, rather than a sales-focused position.

Applications Engineer / Technical Support Engineer Role

Providing technical support and applications expertise for water treatment and chemical control products including metering pumps, controllers, and analytical sensors

Supporting customers across municipal water treatment, water purification, cooling towers, boilers, and industrial process applications

Troubleshooting technical and application issues remotely and during customer site visits

Conducting regular customer and distributor site visits as required

Training customers, distributors, and internal teams on product use and best practices

Working closely with internal engineering, product management, and technical teams

Documenting technical issues, troubleshooting activity, and application solutions

 

Applications Engineer / Technical Support Engineer Requirements

Proven hands-on experience working with water treatment and chemical control equipment

Background in water treatment, chemical dosing, process control, or analytical instrumentation

Experience gained in applications engineering, technical support, process engineering, project engineering, or field-based technical roles

Familiarity with controller-led dosing and analytical platforms such as PLDS, Walchem, or similar systems from ProMinent, Grundfos, or Pulsafeeder

Strong understanding of water purification processes and automated chemical dosing systems

Comfortable working in a home-based role with regular travel to customer and distributor sites

Degree not essential; quality of experience and product familiarity valued
