A Boiler Mechanic / Boiler Service Technician / Boiler Technician is required for a full-time, permanent role servicing commercial and industrial boiler systems across New York City and the surrounding areas.
This Boiler Mechanic role is suited to a hands-on technician with experience in boiler maintenance, overhauls, cleaning, troubleshooting and mechanical repair. Candidates with experience working on large commercial steam or hot-water boilers, including Cleaver-Brooks, firetube or watertube systems, are encouraged to apply.

The Boiler Mechanic / Boiler Service Technician / Boiler Technician Role:
- Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on commercial and industrial boilers
- Carry out boiler overhauls, including disassembly, inspection and reassembly
- Complete fireside and waterside cleaning, descaling and soot removal
- Inspect, repair and replace boiler tubes, including tube plugging, rolling and retubing
- Service and rebuild low-water cut-offs, manholes, handholes and related boiler components
- Complete refractory repairs, gasket replacement and hydrostatic testing
- Troubleshoot and repair burners, pumps, valves, steam piping and mechanical equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency service requirements while maintaining safe working practices and service documentation
Boiler Mechanic / Boiler Service Technician / Boiler Technician Requirements:
- Previous hands-on experience as a Boiler Mechanic, Boiler Service Technician, Boilermaker, Boiler Cleaner, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, HVAC Service Technician or similar
- Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing commercial or industrial boilers
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on steam or hot-water systems
- Knowledge of firetube, watertube or Cleaver-Brooks boilers would be advantageous
- Experience with boiler cleaning, overhauls, refractory repairs or tube replacement
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify faults
- Comfortable working on-site across commercial and industrial facilities
- OSHA, FDNY or relevant technical certifications would be advantageous
Desirable Experience:
- Welding, pipefitting, boiler retubing or burner servicing experience
- Hands-on experience with large commercial steam and hot-water boiler systems
