Service Technician – Compressed Air Systems

Location: Orange County, CA

Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician required to join an established, independent compressed air equipment distributor and service specialist supporting industrial customers throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and wider Southern California.

The business specialises in industrial compressed air equipment, providing compressor sales, servicing, maintenance, repairs, and technical support. Working with leading manufacturers including Atlas Copco, Powerex, and nano, the company supports a wide range of industrial compressed air applications, including rotary screw and reciprocating compressors, air treatment equipment, filtration, and associated compressed air systems.

The position will involve servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing compressed air equipment across customer sites throughout Southern California.

Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Perform servicing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs across industrial compressed air equipment.

  • Work on rotary screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, air dryers, filtration equipment, and associated compressed air systems.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing at industrial customer sites.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain equipment reliability.

  • Attend customer sites throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and surrounding Southern California territories.

  • Support emergency breakdowns and equipment repairs where required.

  • Assist with installation, start-up, and commissioning of new compressed air equipment and system upgrades.

  • Identify worn or defective components and complete necessary equipment repairs and replacements.

  • Carry out equipment inspections and recommend maintenance or repair solutions to improve system performance.

  • Maintain accurate service documentation, maintenance reports, and parts records.

  • Provide technical advice and professional customer support regarding equipment performance and maintenance requirements.

  • Work closely with the internal service team and management to deliver reliable, high-quality technical service.


Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Service Technician / Field Service Engineer within compressed air systems or a similar industrial mechanical equipment environment.

  • Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting industrial air compressors, ideally including rotary screw and reciprocating systems.

  • Experience with Atlas Copco, Powerex, or other industrial compressor manufacturers would be advantageous.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment.

  • Electrical fault-finding experience, including motors, controls, and associated compressor components, would be beneficial.

  • Experience servicing air dryers, filtration equipment, and associated compressed air systems would be advantageous.

  • Previous experience carrying out preventative maintenance, equipment installations, or commissioning would be beneficial.

  • Applications are welcomed from experienced technicians and developing technicians with approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to work independently at customer sites while maintaining high standards of technical service.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.

  • Based in Orange County or within a practical commuting distance of the company's Southern California operation.

  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the regional service territory.
