  • Lead interior detailing, millwork and custom architectural elements

  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, A/V, acoustical and other building systems

  • Work closely with Project Designers to maintain design intent throughout technical development

  • Lead drawing coordination and QA/QC reviews

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, fabricators and vendors

  • Conduct field surveys and document existing conditions

  • Support permitting and agency approval processes

  • Lead construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site observations and punch walks

  • Resolve technical and construction issues throughout project delivery

  • Mentor junior and intermediate designers and support technical development across the team

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in interior architecture, architecture or technical design

  • Strong experience delivering corporate workplace and commercial interiors projects

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline

  • Advanced Revit skills and strong BIM knowledge

  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and interior detailing

  • Excellent knowledge of building codes, accessibility, egress and life-safety requirements

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and complex building systems

  • Strong understanding of materials, finishes, millwork and construction methods

  • Experience with construction administration and resolving issues in the field

  • Ability to lead technical coordination while maintaining design intent

  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills

  • Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced team members

Professional licensure, NCIDQ, LEED, WELL or similar accreditation would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Technical Designer who enjoys being the link between design vision and built execution, with the opportunity to take real ownership of technically sophisticated projects.
