The successful Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer will translate HVAC and control requirements into detailed technical documentation that supports field installation and procurement.

Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed BAS design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and controls drawings
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope, HVAC sequences, and control requirements
- Utilize design and documentation tools such as Visio, Bluebeam, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, and Distech Designer
- Create and maintain accurate controls design packages to support procurement and field installation
- Translate design intent into clear, professional graphical representations and system documentation
- Support project managers by coordinating design activities and responding to technical questions
- Address design-related issues during construction and commissioning phases as needed
- Participate in client meetings to review design concepts and provide technical explanations
Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or related disciplines
- Proficiency with Visio, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, Distech Designer, and Bluebeam
- Strong understanding of BAS platforms and protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Niagara Framework
- Experience creating controls drawings, BOMs, and technical design documentation
- Can live anywhere in US, preferably in CA
