Field Service Engineer / CNC Field Service Technician

Location: Arizona
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience)

Job Description

A leading manufacturer of high-precision CNC machine tools supporting the metalworking and advanced manufacturing industries is seeking a Field Service Engineer / CNC Field Service Technician to support distributors and end users throughout Arizona.

This field-based role is responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced CNC machine tools, including machining centers, turning centers, and automated CNC equipment.

Field Service Engineer / CNC Field Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout Arizona to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools, including 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, CNC turning centers, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform machine installations, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to maximize customer uptime and machine performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control-related issues.
  • Analyze technical problems, implement corrective actions, and provide clear recommendations to customers and internal teams.
  • Support distributors and end users with technical guidance, machine optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and communicate service activities, findings, and recommendations.

Field Service Engineer / CNC Field Service Technician Requirements:

  • Previous experience servicing, maintaining, installing, or troubleshooting CNC machine tools, machining centers, or CNC lathes is required.
  • Strong understanding of CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar platforms.
  • Engineering degree, technical degree, or machine tool technology background is preferred but not required; candidates with strong hands-on CNC service experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Arizona to support customers and distributors.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
