Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical discipline across EPC projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget.
- Execute electrical design and analysis; may serve as Engineer of Record.
- Provide oversight and technical review of third-party engineering until internal teams are fully built out.
- Prepare and review load lists, power system studies, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, schematics, area classifications, sizing calculations, equipment specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and bid evaluations.
- Perform and review complex engineering calculations (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, harmonics, grounding, transient stability, motor starting, insulation coordination, etc.).
- Collaborate with EPC and client teams on RFIs, change orders, deliverable reviews, and equipment buyouts.
- Stay current on industry technology, codes, standards (ANSI, IEEE, API, NEC), and apply best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in power generation, fossil fuels, or related electrical engineering roles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, compressed schedules.
- Proficiency in protective devices, coordination techniques, and relay programming.
- Ability to specify HV/MV/LV electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, MCCs, etc.).
- Skilled in applying engineering codes and quality programs.
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical – Power or I&C).
- Aconex document control experience.
- Experience supporting proposals, estimating, and owner/client engineering.
- Active involvement in professional engineering societies.
