Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter required to join a leading industrial systems provider specializing in high-performance HVAC systems, refrigeration, and electrical controls based in Houston.
Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of various HVAC equipment, including refrigeration piping, electrical conduits, and cabling.
The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, specifically with HVAC systems, piping, and electrical work.

Role
• Install, move, and modify related equipment according to job order specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and product schematics.
• Complete training and internship with mentor – Subject Matter Expert (SME), Lead Mechanic, or Supervisor.
• Route and install electrical cables.
• Route and install refrigerant piping, and solder per requirements.
• Route and install instrument air piping.
• Mount and align electric motors and bearings.
• Mount compressors on HVAC units.
• Install labels and ground wires.
• Mount major HVAC components on skids.
• Complete assigned tasks within the allotted time frame with minimal to no rework.
• Actively participate in the DWD Safety Program.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
• Operate forklift to transport supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years’ HVAC experience – either routing and installing electrical conduits, refrigerant piping, instrument air piping, or chilled piping (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in custom manufacturing, industrial equipment repair, or facility maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wire cutters, crimpers, drills).
• Must provide own tools – basic mechanic set.
