Service Technician – Compressed Air Systems
Location: Rockland, MA
Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician required to join an established compressed air specialist providing equipment, parts, service, repairs, rentals, and engineered compressed air solutions across New England.
The business has more than 50 years of experience within the compressed air industry and supports an extensive range of equipment, from small reciprocating compressors through to large industrial rotary screw and centrifugal systems. Their capabilities also include air dryers, gas compressors, blowers, pumps, vacuum equipment, filtration, and associated compressed air accessories.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician to join a highly technical service organisation, carrying out preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, equipment rebuilds, installations, and commissioning across a wide variety of industrial compressed air systems.

Compensation:
- $38 to $44 per hour

Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform service, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs across industrial compressed air equipment.
- Work on rotary screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, air dryers, blowers, pumps, vacuum equipment, and associated compressed air systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, and planned servicing across customer sites.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise customer downtime.
- Support emergency breakdowns and field service requirements when required.
- Install, start up, and commission new compressed air equipment and system upgrades.
- Support compressor rebuilds, overhauls, and remanufacturing requirements where necessary.
- Carry out system evaluations and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Maintain accurate service reports, parts records, and customer documentation.
- Provide customers with technical advice regarding equipment condition, maintenance requirements, repairs, and future service needs.
- Work closely with internal service, parts, and technical teams to deliver a high standard of customer support.
Service Technician / Field Service Engineer / Compressed Air Technician
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Service Technician / Field Service Engineer within compressed air systems or similar industrial rotating equipment.
- Hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting industrial air compressors, ideally including rotary screw and reciprocating equipment.
- Experience with air dryers, blowers, vacuum systems, pumps, or larger compressor technologies would be advantageous.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to diagnose equipment faults independently and carry out repairs in a field service environment.
- Experience with preventative maintenance, compressor overhauls, installations, or commissioning would be advantageous.
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently at customer sites.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the regional service territory as required.
