
Field Service Technician
$18–24/hr + Benefits + Progression to $30+/hr
Southeast US (Atlanta, GA preferred – also open to Central/North Alabama or Central Tennessee)
Field Service Technician/Mechanical Technician/Industrial Maintenance Technician required to join a growing mechanical contracting business specialising in automated lubrication and fire suppression systems for the aggregate industry, with projects also spanning paper mills, steel mills, and wider industrial facilities.
The Technician/Mechanical Technician/Industrial Maintenance Technician will have a background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, with skills in welding, fabrication, assembly, hydraulics, and electrical wiring. Previous field service or mechanical contracting experience is highly desirable.
Field Service Technician/Mechanical Technician/Industrial Maintenance Technician role:
- Install, service, and maintain automated lubrication and fire suppression systems.
- Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- Perform welding, fabrication, drilling/tapping, and hydraulic/electrical connections.
- Complete accurate service documentation and reports.
- Provide technical support and high-quality customer service on-site.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.
Field Service Technician/Mechanical Technician/Industrial Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Strong mechanical skills – welding, fabrication, assembly.
- Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems (wiring into mobile equipment, hose connections, crimping).
- Industrial maintenance background or transferable skills (e.g., CNC machining, heavy equipment service).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel regionally and work independently.
- Previous field service or mechanical contracting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lubrication or fire suppression systems is advantageous.
