Field Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / UPS Engineer to join a leading electrical engineering manufacturer, specialising in UPS systems and critical power equipment.

The Successful Field Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / UPS Engineer shall carry out installation, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis of uninterruptible power supplies / UPS Systems and critical power equipment at customer sites & data centres across the South of the UK.

The ideal Field Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / UPS Engineer will ideally have a solid understanding and experience of critical power applications such as power controls, electrical distribution, power electronics, electrical installation, generators, UPS systems, critical power supplies or similar electrical products. Full product training provided.

£35,000-£40,000 depending on experience 
On call allowance plus overtime with a high OTE

The Field Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer/ UPS Engineer role
Carry out installations, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and commissioning to uninterruptible power supplies / UPS Systems, batteries and critical power equipment.

Installation, repair and service of uninterruptible power systems, in a wide variety of commercial and industrial sites and data centres across the South of the UK.
Carry out preventative maintenance on the existing uninterruptible power supplies / UPS install base.
Set up and configure remote monitoring on uninterruptible power supplies / UPS software.
Communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
Liaise with various engineering departments.

The Field Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer/ UPS Engineer Requirements

Experience as a Field Service Engineer / UPS Engineer / Service Technician / Electrical Engineer / Commissioning Engineer or similar in the UPS / uninterruptible power supplies industry.
Show the ability to understand on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
solid understanding and experience of critical power applications such as power controls, electrical distribution, power electronics, electrical installation, generators, UPS systems, critical power supplies or similar electrical products. Full product training provided.
Possessing three-phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge.
Full driving license (willing to travel and stay away when required)
Electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar, BS7671 18th Edition, Inspection and test, ECS gold card) is advantageous.
Flexible for overtime/part of the on call rota.
Willingness to travel to areas across the South UK.
