Project Manager / Sales Engineer

Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Sales Engineer to join a leading industrial equipment company specializing in metalworking, fabrication, and manufacturing machinery, with opportunities in Ohio, Chicago IL, or Detroit, MI.
This role leverages your technical expertise in industrial equipment to lead projects across the US involving Tube Mills, Steel Processing, Fabrication, Sheet Metal, and other metalworking or manufacturing machinery from inception to completion. You will build lasting customer relationships and coordinate closely with engineering and sales teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

Project Manager / Sales Engineer Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Prospect and engage new clients, identifying opportunities for industrial machinery sales.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to support repeat business.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical expertise to recommend the most suitable machinery solutions for customer needs.
- Travel to customer sites across the US to support project implementation, inspections, and on-site relationship building.
Project Manager / Sales Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or manufacturing discipline is desirable but not a requirement if you have relevant experience.
- Must reside in Ohio, Chicago or Detroit.
- Strong technical background with industrial equipment, industrial machinery, manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Previous experience in sales or project management in the industrial manufacturing and metalworking sector.
- Valid driver’s license.
