Are you an experienced Controller / Financial Controller / Finance Manager looking to take ownership of finance and accounting operations in a leading creative industry business? This New York City–based role offers the chance to step into a visible leadership position and make an immediate impact.
📍 Location: New York, NY
💼 Package: $110,000 - $130,000 + benefits + hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 remote)
As the Controller, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role suits someone confident in financial statements, payroll, reconciliations, budgeting, tax filings, and cash flow management who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
What you’ll be doing:

Lead accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and manage the close process.

Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with senior leadership.

Maintain strong internal controls, compliance, and tax filings.

Partner with project leaders on client billing, contracts, and revenue tracking.

Be the go-to finance professional for the NYC office, reporting directly into senior leadership.
What we’re looking for:

Experienced Controller / Finance Manager / Senior Accountant with 7+ years’ proven track record.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related (CPA a strong advantage).

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Deltek, and Microsoft Excel.

Background in design, or construction industries is highly desirable.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
