Inside Sales Engineer / Sales Associate

Location: Newark, New Jersey (On-site)
Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Employment Type: Full-Time

Training: Full product training provided

 

We are seeking a Inside Sales Engineer / Sales Associate to join a leading industrial equipment reseller specializing in metalworking, fabrication, and manufacturing machinery in New Jersey.

 

This role involves prospecting, building relationships with new and existing customers, and leveraging your technical background to manage industrial machinery sales.

 

This position is ideal for recent graduates seeking a long-term career in sales and manufacturing, or for candidates with a strong background in manufacturing, sheet metal, fabrication, industrial equipment, or metalworking who want to apply their expertise in a customer-focused role.

 

Inside Sales Engineer / Sales Associate Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and manage sales calls with professionalism and technical insight.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers through phone, email, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Take full ownership of projects from initial contact to successful sale, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and sales teams to recommend the right machinery solutions.
  • Track and manage sales activities and project progress, providing regular updates to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities, follow up on leads, and contribute to the growth of the company’s sales pipeline while developing your career in industrial equipment sales.

Inside Sales Engineer / Sales Associate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Must be commutable to Newark, New Jersey.
  • Strong interest in industrial machinery, manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Motivated to grow in a long-term career in sales and industrial equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
